Everything you need is already within you

What is the Grinberg Method

Body-based personal sessions, teaching you through direct experience, how to stop what stands between you and your own strength, presence and vitality. In stress, emotional pain and difficulty — your presence in the body is the key to breaking free.

The experience is difficult to describe, because it’s about experiencing yourself as a body, in a deep way. For those curious and bold enough to look inward, this experience can be life changing.

Emotional issues

Emotions are meant to move the body. When you are moved the stagnation ends and suffering is not needed. Emotions live in the body, they are your own energy meant for you to use.

Chronic physical issues

Chronic problems lean on emotional habits — find the connection and learn to stop it. Agreeing to feel your pain and fear brings a change in the body and supports it’s natural ways to heal itself.

Changing behavior patterns

The body shows us how you create the same outcomes each time with predictable behavioral patterns. Reaching the same results and not living up to your potential, means that you have learned a safe way of survival which now holds you back.

  • Found childhood trauma of bullying where he learned to push down his own powers by closing the lower belly area and controlling upper body.
    The loop was: fear moment > he limits his powers > not acting on his wishes > depressed and detached from his heart’s path

  • Found a few childhood traumas where he has learned to freeze with fear(terror) in order to reduce its intensity. Pushing that energy down, meant that he was disconnecting from his body to the point that he is not present in reality in order to act towards his goals. Emotional experiences became dull and any excitement was gone.

  • The teaching of bringing the attention into the body and allowing fear, meant that she could change the way she deals with the symptoms. Pain transformed and she re-learned the pleasure of agreeing to be the body.

  • Pain attacks were connected with the moods/attitudes of pushing and defending which she was using alot through her daily life. Elevating body attention in the belly and pelvis allows her to stop contracting and invite the movement of breath into the belly - reducing the intensity of pain and cramps.

  • This client was experiencing fear attached to authority figures. In those situation he was tensing up his lower body (thighs, pelvis, lower belly) so much that he would lose connection with this legs - not being able to feel their presence. In the sessions he learned that by letting go he can regain access to his legs and this completely changes the feeling of stability, strength and confidence. Together with breathing openly and being attentive in relevant situations, he earned back the ability to feel confidence in the body.

  • This client loved her profession but could only enjoy it when she was not doing it for work. An emotional childhood trauma of having a mom that was not reachable for her at a certain period, she learned the duty of working harder in order to produce some response from the world, assuming that the lack of response is the result of her being flawed or not doing it properly. Self judgement, beliefs and detachment were part of the way she transformed what she loves to do into a duty which she is not good at.

  • In this case the work is about elevating energy levels and quieting the mind, allowing the client to come back to the body and process their emotions in a safe and supported environment.
    Sidekick: reducing physical tension and back pain help a lot with quality of life.

  • Shame, anger and control, which the client keeps re-living on a daily basis when a specific situation occurs, is related with a childhood trauma. That client limits emotional intensity by closing the belly and diaphragm areas, which severely affects digestion. The loop is that when digestion doesn’t go well it triggers the same situation of shame and anger which pushes the belly issue even stronger.
    With body attention they were able to learn how to let go, allowing the emotions to flow and use their energy without stagnation. Digestion got better and the control is back in the hands of the client.

  • Tensing up the shoulders together with the jaw and the side of my neck, without attention, during specific emotional moments - at the end of the day the migrane was so bad that I had to rest in bed. Learning to pay attention to the shoulders and neck, and later learning to not block my anger in those moments, has completely solved my migranes issue.

What happens in the sessions?

An assessment through the feet gives clarity before we begin to work. We meet on eye level, feeling together what’s in the body, without judgement. We’ll work with the body and we’ll talk. We might become emotional and probably laugh too. Using touch and breath I will show you how to access what’s already available within you. You might feel energy physically moving through the body, or learn how to stop preventing it. At the end of each session you will be given a few minutes of rest for the body to integrate.

After the session I advise to take some time for yourself and enjoy the stillness in the body. Sessions last 60-90 minutes.

How does it work?

Process

It begins with an intake that includes feet-reading and assessment of your overall situation. This allows us to pinpoint the real underlying cause for the issue that brings you to me. We recognize it when it deeply touches you, when you have excitement and clarity.

Sessions are based on a strategy to bring you to your aim. They include specific techniques of touch to communicate with the body, together with guided breathing and awareness. You can expect to feel held and supported which experiencning yourself in a new way. The effect on the body is real, but sessions are designed as a teaching - that you can work with in between sessions.

The process ends when you have reached you clear aim.

Allowing the body to work

Tingling, heat, flows, shaking or other sensations: body work is experienced in many ways. Sometimes a cry or a laughter might move you, or an emotional moment would come and go. All body work is blessed, allowed, and unexpected.

The sessions are designed to allow natural flows to move through the body. Those are flows of your energy that you will learn to physically feel. The sessions follow the lead of the body, allowing it to work as it wishes. The body communicates very clearly if we listen.

At the end of each session you will have some time to remain lying down and relax the body — allowing the integration of the experience.

Feet Assessment

This assessment opens our session, and is an emotional experience in itself.

The soles of your feet show how you walk through life — the mood, the posture, the expedited and the blocked flows, your repeated patterns (emotional and physical) and any issues that result from those. It gives me an objective point of view where judgement and beliefs don’t intervene. That insight allows us to work with precision and focus. Feet might also tell us about an event at a specific age that has left an imprint on you, especially with traumas but not only. Theat’s when a new understanding connects your past with who you are today, explaining some outcomes and situations in your life and body.

Elements

When describing your true potential we look at the division and the relationship between the 4 elements that make you uniquely you, as a body. They show up on the feet both in their potential and in their current situation which obstructs your potential.

Air‍ ‍is the realm of the mind, thoughs, imagination, creativity and supreme connection. It is also the physical head and the skin. Fire‍ ‍is the realm of doing, loving and connection in different aspects. Muscles and being active are involved. Wateris where emotions originate and how we feel an atmosphere and create moods. Through water we are afraid and in Water we passively digest experiences or food. Earth‍ is our ground, confidence, and also our health and bodily needs. This is the element of self healing of the body. Earth means passivity and will errupt with enormous powers when survival is needed.

Elements relate and mix with eachother in different ways. It’s that unique balance, formed by repetition throughout your life, which creates the predictable-you and those situations that seem to repeat.

when elements can move you in an unpredicted way — unexpected and undictated, the new you is showing up, up to your true potential.

The Language Of Touch used in the sessions, is a communication with those elements, to which they respond and interact in a way that you can feel.
